If you want to go even cheaper, then start hoarding those free beauty product samples you get in your Sephora or Ulta bags! Today, I am going to give you a little insight on some of my favorite products that I take with me when I travel. I love products that are natural and hydrating since lack of humidity on planes can really do a number on your skin. The items below are my 9 essential beauty products for travel.

1. My favorite lotions:
I always take lotion with me when I travel, because it’s normal for your skin to get dry while flying as planes have such low humidity.
Skin Again Dry Skin Treatment – 100 ml, vegan, natural, cruelty-free. Great for redness, dry skin, or allergy prone skin.
Viriginic Purity Perfected Night Cream – 50 ml, Vegan, natural, cruelty-free, and good for most skin types. Makes your face feel so amazing.
2. My favorite sunblock:
You never want to spend your vacation suffering from a bad burn. Protect your skin while you are out exploring while skipping the harsh chemicals in most sunblocks. Tip: Stay away from sunblocks like Neutrogena especially if you have sensitive skin. I had a purple rash experience on my back that I would never want to repeat.s The following sunblock has never done me wrong.
Sun Bum Moisturizing Sun Block SPF 50 – 88 ml, Vegan, cruelty-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic, and their SPF ranges from 15 – 70. It’s a bit heavy but works well.
3. My favorite lip balm:
Anyone else a big fan of lip balm? Lipstick is always cute, but I love tinted lip balm because it feels great and doesn’t get all over the place.
Hurraw! Tinted Lip Balm – .15 oz, I loooooove the cinnamon lip balm. Black cherry is quite pretty too. Organic, vegan and cruelty-free.
4. My favorite foundations:
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with foundation. Most are very dry or cakey on my face. The following two really hit the mark for me though. They have quite a few shades for you to choose from.
Golden Rose Long-Stay Matte Foundation – 41 ml, Cruelty-free and comes in many shades. For my fair skin, I order the nude shade.
Skin2Spirit Better’n Skin Organic Liquid Foundation – 30 ml, Cruelty-free, vegan, and natural. I order this in porcelain. This stuff is great because it isn’t dry and flaky.
5. My favorite setting powder:
When I travel to a hot climate, I always need a setting powder because it helps my makeup stay in place.
Mode Natural Skin Mineral Powder Foundation – Cruelty-free, vegan, and natural. Helps make your makeup more matte and gives a smoother appearance. I like this product because it doesn’t make my skin feel dry or flake.
6. My favorite space-saving blush/bronzer/highlighter trio:
I love this because its all-in-one so it takes up less space and gets the job done.
Benecos Natural Trio Powder Blush – Cruelty-free, vegan, natural.
7. My favorite eyeshadow:
Lamora Matte or Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette – Love matte eyeshadows for my day or night makeup looks. They also have a shimmer palette if that’s more your style.
8. My favorite waterproof mascara:
Skin2Spirit Vegan Mascara – 23 ml, Cruelty-free, vegan, hypoallergenic, and tear-resistant. This is my holy grail mascara for those with sensitive eyes like mine. Great for hot climates.
9. My favorite makeup wipes:
Ever since I lived in Seoul, I’ve been a big fan of the Body Shop. This British company makes so many natural beauty products.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes – Cruelty-free, vegan, and natural. The tea tree oil in these wipes helps acne-prone skin behave.
Wrap Up
These are my latest tried and true products for traveling as all of my products fit nicely into one clear TSA approved bag. With all those harsh chemicals out there, it’s far better to use beauty products that are kind to your skin and the added bonus is that these products are cruelty-free. Do you have any products to add? Let me know some of your favorites in the comments below. I would love to try them!

I love that most of these beauty products are vegan and cruelty free! I’ve been on the lookout for those kind of beauty products and it looks like the options are getting better recently. I wish more mainstream beauty brands would follow suit! 🙂
Janelle (Simply Nel Belle) says
Yes, I agree. More companies should definitely ditch harmful chemicals and testing on animals. It’s so unnecessary with today’s technology.

Lotion and lip balm are total must-haves for traveling, especially flying – I find I get dry on flights.

I also have a love-hate relationship with foundation. Every one I try ends up looking awful by the end of the day, but I know I can’t leave the house without it either, so it’s always with me when I travel!
Janelle (Simply Nel Belle) says
Yeah I’m the same way. When I find one I actually like I latch onto it.

I love all these tips, one thing I personally do though is combine the foundation and sunblock into a tinted moisturizer.
Janelle (Simply Nel Belle) says
That’s a great idea!
