
Pumpkin Festivities for the Brisk Month of October
The scent of apple cider and crunchy leaves beneath your boots means it’s the season for all things pumpkin. If you are looking for some fun pumpkin events in Massachusetts, then look no further than this post. I have put together a list of 3 pumpkin festivities that are happening this October. So keep your calendar open and pencil in a fantastic jack-o-lantern display.
1. Pumpkin People in the Park in Chatham, Massachusetts
Dates: Displays are up from October 15- October 31, 2021
Travel & Leisure Magazine highlighted Chatham as the 4th in America’s Best Towns for Halloween. They are known for their Oktoberfest and their Pumpkin People in the Park festivities. The displays can be found in Kate Gould Park and the bandstand on Main Street. The creative and innovative Pumpkin People are fashioned by local businesses, organizations and residents alike. Chatham is a charming town on the cape with plenty of sights to explore while you are in the area.

2. Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show in Stockbridge, MA
Dates: October 1st-31st, Wednesday-Sunday
Time: 4:30-8:30PM
Naumkeag’s famous gardens in the Berkshires are bedecked with 1,500 jack-o-lanterns, hundreds of mums, and interesting gourds. You can indulge in some tasty hot cider and treats on the grounds. They also offer a shuttle from the parking lot to the event.
You must purchase a timed ticket before your visit (one ticket per person). Tickets will not be sold on site. Ticket time represents your arrival window. You can make a reservation on their site. Tickets sell out fast! If they do sell out, don’t stress. Simply revisit their site to check for cancellations that will occasionally pop up.
Parking will be available on site in the lower parking lot located in the Stockbridge Town Cemetery, not by way of the usual entrance off of Prospect Hill Road. The GPS coordinates for the entrance are: 42°17’12.6″N 73°19’13.9″W located off Church Street.

3. Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth in Salem, MA
Date: September 24, 2021-October 31, 2021
Time: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
The Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth features 1,000 intricately carved jack-o-lanterns to put you right in the spooky halloween spirit. Salem is a hub of halloween festivities so once you finish up checking out the fantastic pumpkin display, head out to main street Salem to see plenty of people in costumes, events, and of course many tasty treats.
